These plastic microscope slides are molded from a specialty resin designed to provide the best possible optical, surface, and chemical characteristics. Cyclic olefin copolymer and cyclic olefin polymer offer excellent optical clarity and transmission, very low background fluorescence compared to standard thermoplastic (such as polystyrene, polycarbonate, and PMMA), low non-specific binding of proteins, cells, and small molecules, as well as high resistance to organic solvents (such as alcohols and acetonitrile). These slides are ideal for chemical assays, surface modifications, re-melting for thermoforming or embossing, CNC machining, optical windows, or as components of microfluidic devices. They are precision injection molded in a clean room environment and feature +/- 5 µm surface roughness.
